Quote Source – A Reader and Commentator

A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – The above was my response to a reader who wrote, “God did not write the Bible. Nor did God dictate it to the writers. God speaks to each individual human being, if the individual is willing to listen. God does not speak in words, but in compassion and understanding… It is up to each reader to learn to separate the wheat from the chaff.”

It is true that God does speak to us, if we are willing to listen. He does offer counsel in many ways, including other Christians, worship, prayer, circumstances in our lives, and even dreams and miracles. However, we need a foundation, an unmovable rock to separate God from our own prideful hearts and evil outside forces. That is the purpose of the Bible.
