Selfishness, the drop in church attendance, and pastoral attempts to pander to the general public have all contributed to a departure from Bible-centric morality. These are not issolated changes in American beliefs and practices. They are interrelated and synergistic, as are increases in drugs, the loss of patriotism, single-parent families, inner-city crime, antisemitism, and theological deconstructionism, to name a few. America reached a pinnacle of its power, influence, and affluence many years ago and is in the throes of a slow, inextricable death march that only God can turn around.
