Providing straightforward analysis on the intersection of contemporary issues and theology, based on a Biblical Christian Worldview.

“People don’t want to consider their mortality.”

Happy atoms vs. Glorified bodies.

Quote Source – An Atheist Commenter

A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – This is a true statement from an atheist. The sad reality is that when we are young we think we are bullet proof. And as we mature into adulthood, we are so burdened with life that the afterlife is often ignored until it’s too late, and Satan wins.

What is a bit humorous about the title of this brief post is how this atheist continued in trying to equate his view beyond the grave with the born-again Christian view of our glorified bodies in Heaven.

This Atheist’s Hope Beyond the Grave

“Our physical self is already immortal. The atoms that makes us up have been around for billions of years and will be for trillions and trillions and trillions more. What an exciting adventure they’ve had, and what an exciting adventure awaits them!”

My Response

It is a sad state when one compares the view that the believer will spend eternity with God in Heaven, while you are encouraged by the “exciting adventure” your atoms have had. Even more discouraging is the look forward with an animated… “what an exciting adventure awaits them!” I pray that someday God will use some event in your life to draw you to Him…

Philippians 4:7 – And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
