“Do you think observations of Trump appear as the anti-Christ?”

Quote Source – Newsletter Subscriber

A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – I received this question from a reader on BCWorldview.org, likely based on an article I wrote on “Donald Trump and Biblical Christian Considerations.” This individual should be commended for their perception because my earlier point on this topic was subtle and, consequently, I received a number of comments suggesting I was supportive of Trump (NOT TRUE) rather than outlining the mounting evidence that he may be more than what he appears to be. Of course, anyone who has a definitive view that Trump is the anti-Christ would be dismissed as a loon by 99% of the American population. Acknowledging that truth and, apart from the featured image that I could not resist, below was my answer to this reader.

My Response to the Question…

… That is a tricky but obvious question from some of my writings lately. I believe that Jesus did not know the day nor hour (Matthew 24:36), but the Scriptures also call us to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16). Further, we are to keep our lamps full of oil in expectation of the return (Rapture) of Christ (Matthew 25:1-13). The only thing I feel certain of is my faith in Biblical Christian core beliefs (details here). Finally, whether Trump is or is not the anti-Christ should not make any difference in our faith or our urgency to share the Good News.

… So my answer is … I am watchful and am trying to use the interesting events going on in the world these days as a reminder to Christians that our time is ALWAYS growing short because we don’t know what will happen in the next minute, much less if we will wake up tomorrow. The latest event of interest is what will happen if the current Pope passes away? Who will replace him since the Catholic Church is heading toward an ecumenical, at best, and universalistic, at worst, view of a One World Religion

James 4:14-15 – yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.”

… So, let me just say, it would not surprise me if Trump was, or if he was not the anti-Christ. While viewing Scripture through a Biblical Christian lens, there is not enough evidence as of yet. To even consider a conclusive position on the matter would be to get out in front of God at this point in history.

Conclusion

Right now, in Trump’s historical style of chaos and hyperbole, he is doing what needs to be done to reign in spending and untangle the mess created by his predecessor. Again, I am NOT a Trump fan and did not vote for him in the last election. However, from a Christian perspective, one needs to look beyond the peace treaties, Great Reset, Golden Age, attempted assassinations, the new Faith Office, historical amassing of worldwide authority, and the colonialism rhetoric regarding Greenland, Canada, Ukraine, and the Panama Canal. We need to keep our eyes glued and our trust and faith centered on the Creator of the Universe. All the rest will work itself out under God’s perfect will.

POSTSCRIPT: Hearing from a reader understandably critical of the image used at the top of this post, she reminded me that we need to be in prayer for our leaders, recognizing that God has placed them in authority over us. The call to prayer was clearly missing from this post and, in retrospect I agree the image was too harsh.

1 Timothy 2:1-2 - First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.
1 Peter 2:13-14 - Be subject for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme, or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good.

Further POSTSCRIPT: Of further note on this topic was an AI video put out today by President Trump as he envisions a revitalized Gaza. The picture below represents a snapshot of that video depicting a larger than life golden statue with music in the background stating, “a golden future, a brand new light.” Further, the video includes Trump “dancing in a nightclub with a scantily-clad woman, with ally Musk, the world’s richest man, showering people with cash” according to a New York Post article and an NPR article.

Trump Golden Statue

Perhaps this is simply a ploy by Trump to shame the Gulf states into taking over the idea of rebuilding the rubble that is currently Gaza.
