I recently spent three intense days on Capitol Hill. My wife and I were in Washington, DC with American Christian Leaders For Israel. It was Israel Advocacy Day for ACLI.

We were there to meet with Senators and Congressmen to advocate for Israel and Jewish issues. I felt honored to be a part of this fantastic group of Pastors, Rabbis, and Christian leaders who want to see a nuke-free Iran, a kibosh on the two-state solution, and stronger antisemitic laws in the West.
It was a target-rich environment for the spirit of death. Let me explain.
Everywhere we went, including inside the Capitol building, there were myriads of protesters holding the most grotesque, anti-Israel signs and wearing Palestinian flags. They were loud, obnoxious, and disrespectful to anyone else. Coming from Texas, I wasn’t accustomed to seeing weak or uninterested law enforcement officers. It was eye-opening.
I met this man below. I’ll spare you the picture of his hand-held poster.

I sincerely wanted to know about his belief system. I’m not Jewish. But his incessant chanting of “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” captivated me. So, I asked him what that meant. He eloquently let me know that Israel must be free of all Jews. Because Jews are responsible for most of the deaths in this world. I asked him what should happen to the Jews. He remained silent. “Should they all be killed?” I wondered. He broke into the most evil smile I have ever seen.
That’s the minute I knew I had met the ancient spirit of Amalek face to face. It’s not the words. Most American protesters can’t find Israel on a map. They are patsies and dupes. But it’s the spirit behind the words I noticed. It’s the potent spiritual influence of death on those who are precious to God that surprised me. It’s the way I imagine I would have felt meeting Heinrich Himmler in person.
The people below had a brief but interesting conversation.

I asked them why they are wearing Palestinian flags as Americans.
“We want to stop the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.”
“How can there be a genocide if the number of Gaza residents doubled in the past decade? In a genocide, don’t the number of living people GO DOWN and not increase?”
“You obviously don’t understand what a genocide is.”
“I understand math.”
Then came a barrage of expletives, all ending with the word ‘you’.
Here‘s the math:
“Gaza’s 2025 population is now estimated at 823,407. In 1950, the population of Gaza was 63,444. Gaza has grown by 22,771 in the last year, (2024)” –World Population Review.
Muslim fundamentalists, including Hamas and Hezbollah, have a saying: “First the Saturday people. Then the Sunday people”.

We Christians MUST take sayings like that seriously. Why? Because WE are the Sunday people.
Jewish people worship and honor the Sabbath on Saturday. But Christians typically worship on Sunday.
“Saturday People, Sunday People, and Americans at Risk” Hudson Institute
Are you starting to get the picture? Here’s my translation: First, we will take care of all the Jews. Then we will turn our aim to Christians. There will be no one left except those who submit to Islam and are subject to Sharia law. Does that sound far-fetched and paranoid? Is that the latest conspiracy theory cooked up by the Q-Anon crowd? Not hardly.
Here are some facts for you:

Who is Jesus talking about when he says:
“You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.” Mt 10:22
Surely not us. That was for his followers 2,000 years ago. It’s about the Romans.
Don’t believe that lie.
What about this scripture of the future Antichrist:
“And the beast was allowed to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them.” Rev 13:7
That’s not us either. We’ll be gone by then. Plus, we live in America. We have Trump. My mega-church has armed guards. They’ll never infiltrate this country. We are safe and secure. Wasn’t that the thought process the day before two planes hit the World Trade Center?
Before we think we are immune, we should remember what Paul wrote to Timothy:
“Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.” 2 Tim 3:12
I looked up the Greek word translated as the English word “all” and, surprisingly, found that it means… well, all.
All = Us. There is no time stamp or expiration date on that scripture.
Before any reader lets fear take hold, I want to encourage you with the truth of the Bible.
· God will fight against those who fight against us. (Psalm 35:1)
· All the plagues of the Exodus were directed at those who oppressed God’s people. Not even one hit the household of any Hebrew. (Exodus 8:22, 9:26, etc.)
· You might be thrown into the fiery furnace, but the King of Kings will show up. You won’t even smell like smoke. (Dan 3:24–26)
· God still shuts the mouth of lions. (Dan 6:22)
· Psalm 91 is clear: even if 1,000 fall by your side, you will be safe.
· God has a proven history of bringing victory in the face of overwhelming odds.
· All the scary bowls of wrath mentioned in Revelation have one specific target. Remember the beast who makes war with the saints? God’s wrath is poured out on him and his kingdom. (Rev 16:10) Like the Exodus, Christians are immune.
· Angels are still sent to minister for those who are God’s. (Heb 1:14)
· The fight might come to your neighborhood, but God can still the earth and move the shadow on the sundial until your enemies are vanquished. (Joshua 10:13)
· Peter was supernaturally rescued from prison. Paul was rescued from, well, just about everything. And our God still rescues His beloved.
· God changes not. He loves you. He is your rock, your fortress, and your protector.
What should we do with the impending Christian-targeting by fundamental Islam?
In short: fear not and stand in faith. Enemies come and go. But our God, His Messiah, and the Kingdom prepared for us from the foundation of the world are eternal and will stand sure.
“…upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades shall not overpower it.” (Mat 16:18)
You are on the winning team. Satan might be a roaring lion. However, remember that lions only roar when they feel threatened. And you, in partnership with the One True God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, make for an unbeatable team.
Children of God speak with the enemy at the gate. (Psalm 127:5)
Get ready. We are about to have some speaking to do.
