According to Wikipedia, Christianity is the largest religion in Germany, including Protestants, Catholics, and Eastern Orthodoxy. However, according to the Christian Post, for the first time in modern German history, more of the population identifies as “religiously unaffiliated” (47%) in contrast to Roman Catholics and Protestants combined (45%). In 2024 alone, 580,000 Germans departed from these two faith traditions, while the number of Muslims increased by 80k last year.
