A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – A reader responded that he was removed as a Bible Study Fellowship teacher because he believed in one of the sign gifts (ex. speaking in tongues, laying on of hands, prophesy). My response…

I believe there is a separation between core and non-core theology. A belief in the sign gifts, in my view, is a non-core. That does not mean the theology is unimportant. It means that salvation is not dependent on an acceptance or rejection that these gifts have continued past the book of Acts.

In this divisive world Biblical Christians need to band together over the core of our faith, and not separate ourselves by our denominational differences.
