Lord give me patience and give it to me right now!

Patience is an attribute of God, but so often, not of man.

We want patience, and we want it instantly. God models a slow-to-anger, never-weary endurance that looks nothing like our hustle culture, and He calls us to the same.

A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – One of the many sins Christians commit is demonstrating a lack of patience. In our fast paced lifestyle, efficiency and expediency are given high marks. Patience, though seen as an attribute on the surface, is often recalibrated into terms such as slowness, weakness, and a lack of motivation.

The truth is that God sees so much of our lives differently than our fellow man. He desires us to emulate His patience by being slow to anger (James 1:19), not weary of doing good (Gal. 6:9), being still, and waiting on Him (Psalm 37:7). Clearly, the Lord’s patience is demonstrated daily as He watches us muddle through our lives, resisting guidance from the Holy Spirit as believers.
