“I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants,” Deuteronomy 30:19 (NASB1995)
It occurred to me during prayer last night that the Kingdom of Heaven is not subject to our opinions. Regardless of how many arguments we come up with to disprove God exists, the Truth doesn’t care. That is the nature of the Truth. It is True. There are no caveats built into Truth. There are no secret paths around it no matter how hard and how long you search. The Truth is an insurmountable mountain surrounded by mile high cliffs that no man will ever climb.
The Truth is just there. It is the basis of the source of existence.
Just like our inability to fathom the reality of Heaven, illustrated by 2 Peter 3:8.
“But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day.” (2 Peter 3:8, NASB)
Any imagination or opinion that claims to know the Truth about Heaven is woefully inadequate. There is only one perfect Truth and that is Jesus Christ.
The title of this post suggests that there are multiple choices for finding God. Philosophies, religions, and ideologies make all kinds of claims to be the way to eternal bliss. But like all tests we have taken over our lives, there are usually many boxes and a list of questions to measure our knowledge.
But, the Rabbi of life’s test has only two boxes. Life or Death.

However, there is and has ever been one answer to the question of life. In the end, only one box matters for this test. That is the box of Life. And, as hard as it has been to wade through everything Satan throws in our way, Truth is not that hard to find. All other understanding is a delusion, a carefully designed road block to keep your mind distracted from the Truth.
One of the most common excuses about God is, “I don’t believe in anything. I am a good person. I can’t be bothered with all this mumbo jumbo.” Unfortunately, not making a choice or avoiding the test is a failed test. Declining to engage is a fatal choice.
Our opinion that this is unfair doesn’t matter. Life in this reality is subject to the reality of the Kingdom of Heaven. Because, all of this is God’s creation, and our opinions do not matter.
God is God and I am not. Once you believe that God exists, the Truth is easy to find. He is waiting for you to turn and ask Him for Life, to encounter the miracle of our spirit being brought back to life, or resurrected.
The Rabbi’s test is the most important choice we can ever make.
Choose Life.
