“Do we have to believe in the rapture?”

A better question is, "should we believe in the Rapture?"

Quote Source – Question from a Medium.com reader

A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – I don’t think we have to believe in the rapture (which I do believe in). In the broad world of Biblical Christianity, there are so many denominations, church doctrines, and even personal theologies that differ, yet still fall within the boundary of “what it takes to be saved”. I believe we are all wrong somewhere in our worldviews and Christians tend to polarize themselves into theological silos that make us appear to be fractured to the secular world.

In the end, there is a core Biblical Christian theology (details here) that draws us to a loving Father and saves us. At that point, we can get answers to our differences at the feet of the Creator. In that light, I believe whether one believes in the Rapture or not is a great theological conversation but not something “we have to believe in”. Perhaps a better question would be, should we believe in the Rapture?”
