Where was Solomon’s Temple located?

On the side of his head.

A groan-worthy riddle opens a surprisingly rich detour through Jerusalem history, from Solomon's first temple to Nebuchadnezzar's destruction and the prophesied Third Temple still to come.

Theology on the Lighter Side – Where was Solomon’s Temple located? On the side of his head.

Solomon’s Temple was the first temple built in Jerusalem. It existed between the 10th and 6th centuries BC (“Before Christ”, for the secular who reject the original calendar designation). The temple was commissioned by Solomon and was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar II in 587 BC. Its location was likely the area which continues to be referred to as the Temple Mount, where the Dome of the Rock, an Islamic shrine, currently resides.

The Bible predicts the “Third” Temple will be built as part of End-Time Prophecy.
