Quick Quote – Source – Elizabeth Elliot
A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – When was the last time you saw a Christian move a mountain based on their faith (Matt. 17:20)? We do have relatively little faith in God, even though it is fundamental to our hope and trust that we are His children and sealed (2 Cor. 1:22) until we are redeemed (Eph. 4:30).
Why do we constantly ignore God in our daily lives, in our decisions, in our challenges, and in our acknowledgment that all good things come from the Lord (James 1:17-19)? Why do we wait until we are desperate before getting on our knees before Him?
There are many examples of the sins we commit every day, but often overlooked is the sin of omission (James 4:17). When God calls us to “pray continuously” (1 Thes. 5:16-18) by making Him an intimate part of our lives, our response is so often a vote of no confidence in His promises.
