A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – God’s forgiveness is fundamental to our faith and our place with Him in Heaven. From that perspective, if the Lord can forgive us, as the Creator of the universe, we should have the ability to forgive ourselves, regardless of what society tries to convict us of. Forgiveness, from God or from ourselves, is not a license to sin, however (Romans 6:1-2).
