The Worldview that Holds

Why Christianity isn’t fantasy: It’s reality with a backbone.

“Faith is a response to evidence, not a rejoicing in the absence of evidence.”

A reflection in the voice of Dr. John Lennox

A Biblical worldview isn’t just one way to see the world. It’s the only one that makes sense of it.
God is real. He has spoken. That’s not wishful thinking; it’s where I begin. This is not theory, nor is it wishful thinking, but truth with a backbone.

This world didn’t happen by chance. It was spoken into being (Genesis 1). Which means you and I were not random. We’re designed. Your thoughts, your conscience, and your longing for justice—they all point somewhere. Or rather, they point to Someone.

And no, this isn’t guesswork. It’s revelation. God didn’t stay silent. He came near. Truth didn’t float in the sky. It took on flesh and walked among us. That changes everything.

As someone who has debated some of the brightest minds — atheists, scientists, and skeptics—I’ve heard Christianity dismissed as fantasy. I don’t get angry. I ask better questions. Because truth isn’t afraid of doubt; it’s sharpened by it.

And the sharpest point?
The cross, blood-soaked, undeserved, and utterly world-changing.

Jesus wasn’t a martyr with good ideas. He’s the risen Son of God. Not a metaphor. Not a myth. Risen in body. Paul said it plainly: If Christ isn’t raised, we’re wasting our breath (1 Corinthians 15). But He is. So we aren’t.

Faith, to some, sounds like make-believe. I disagree. It’s not blind. It’s bold.
Faith sees further. It’s a step into light, not a jump into darkness. There’s evidence. History. Prophecy. Lives flipped upside down. And yes, mine included.

This worldview does not twist with cultural winds. It stands firm when everything else crumbles. Romans 12:2 calls us to the renewing of our minds: an active, rigorous pursuit. That’s not passive acceptance. That’s wrestling: thinking, testing. Truth is not a passing feeling. It is a Person with scars, with a name.

And that Person walked out of the grave and didn’t look back.

In the end, the Christian life is not about knowing everything. It is about knowing Him. And once your eyes adjust to the light of His Word, you cannot unsee it. This isn’t something you try on. It’s something that transforms you. Utterly. Completely.
It reshapes your spine.
It rewires your soul.
It gives you ground to stand on when the world begins to shake.
