Providing straightforward analysis on the intersection of contemporary issues and theology, based on a Biblical Christian Worldview.

“The will of God will not take us where the grace of God cannot sustain us.”

Trust that the Lord will always be with you.

A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – Many of us are familiar with the verses …

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. - Psalm 23:4
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. - 1 Corinthians 10:13
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. - Matthew 6:13

Don’t you wish that these verses ensured we would never be confronted with temptations that would overwhelm us and have us fall? Even Paul acknowledged that this was not true in his life.

Romans 7:22-24 - For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?

The fact is that the Bible has principles and absolutes. It is absolutely true that if one believes in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and confesses their sins, they will receive forgiveness and eternal life in Heaven. That is a covenant from God. However, the Lord also makes it clear that Christians will face persecution and continuing sin after salvation. It is part of the sanctification process as we approach crossing over from death to life. The principle is that with the Holy Spirit in our hearts, we have the ability to resist sin, but the reality is that we often lack the faith to do so (Matthew 17:20). Finally, what is also an absolute is that as we struggle through our lives, the Lord will never leave us nor forsake us. He is always waiting for us to acknowledge and ask for forgiveness when we fail and walk with us out of the fire and back into the light through His grace.
