Providing straightforward analysis on the intersection of contemporary issues and theology, based on a Biblical Christian Worldview.

“The silence of God is not the same as the absence of God.”

We may distance ourselves from Him, but He will never leave us.

Quote Source – Jarrod Scott

A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – When we become born-again believers in the trinitarian God, Creator of the universe, there is a sense that the personal connection we “feel” with the divine will be consistent and never fade. The Holy Sprit resides within us (Ephesians 3:17) and we are told God will never leave us or forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:8). Also, that He is ever present even in the darkest times of our lives (Psalm 23:4). As we mature in our Christian faith, we discover otherwise.

From our perspective

From our perspective, God’s presence ebbs and flows throughout the remainder of our lives (Psalm 22:1). There are times when we literally feel His presence as He guides us and comforts us. Then there are times when we drift away, caught up in the complexity of life, or estranged from Him due to our unrepentant sin. We hunger for that fellowship but refuse, ignore, or forget how to reengage. Some stop fellowshipping with other believers (church). Others stop praying or reading His love letter (the Bible) as the point of connection. Often we rationalize that the problem is God leaving us, rather than us turning away from God.

From God’s perspective

The Lord is abundantly clear that even in those times of spiritual drought, He will always be there … waiting for us to engage. In the dark times when all seems lost, and in the good times when we forget that everything we own belongs to Him, He is there.

Hebrews 13:5b - For he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Trust that the Holy Spirit lives within you as a connection point to all that the Trinity has to offer. Reengage and relax in the arms of your loving Father while you await His Kingdom.

John 14:16 - And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever.
