When I responded with a request for clarification, I got …
The entrance to Heaven is completely guaranteed!!… The difference [is] that in Catholicism you still have to make satisfaction for a few unresolved sins, but in Eastern Orthodoxy it is simply like taking a shower before you go to the dinner party because it is appropriate.
It is sadly true that some branches of the Eastern Orthodox Church do believe in a form of universalism; most do not. However, the Greek Orthodox, Russian Orthodox, and the Orthodox Church in America hold an equal view of tradition vs. Scripture, some form of possible salvation after death, the value of prayers for the dead, the virginity of Mary, apostolic succession, and other Catholic viewpoints. They largely reject salvation solely through God’s grace and man’s faith in accepting Jesus Christ while on earth (Ephesians 2:8-9).
The Lord offers us a clear pathway to eternity with Him … but we must take advantage of that offer rather than ignore His clear teachings (the Bible) and rely on our human traditions and opinions, expecting Heaven without acknowledging Christ as our Savior and Lord before physical death.
