A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – Our Christian theology has to come from someplace. It can be dreams or feelings we think we are receiving from God, or our own moral compass on what we think God would say about a particular subject or behavior. Finally, our choice can be a reliance on the Bible, God’s written word.
One either believes men wrote the Bible, and therefore can be parsed and rejected, or God wrote it, and it needs to be followed. To suggest the red letters that denote the words of Jesus or, to say that God’s word can be wrapped up in “love thy neighbor” and nothing else, is not being intellectually honest. Either we take the Bible as written by God in total, or we rely on dreams, feelings, and/or our own version of morality.
