Providing straightforward analysis on the intersection of contemporary issues and theology, based on a Biblical Christian Worldview.

“Nothing is more wicked than to [falsely] claim to speak for God.”

The consequences of false teaching are severe.

Quote Source – John MacArthur

A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – The full quote from MacArthur is, “Nothing is more wicked than for someone to claim to speak for God to the salvation of souls when in reality he speaks for Satan to the damnation of souls. (details here)”

The source of salvation remains grace and faith in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). False teachers who promote a false theology which drives people away from God can only be pushing them toward Satan and damnation. And the consequences of that theology, whether well intended or of evil ambition, is the same… 2 Peter 2:1-22

2 Peter 2:1,21 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction… For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.
