Quick Quote – Source – Jeff Hilles
A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – It seems every generation thinks we know so much about the world around us. There was a time, not so long ago, when science was convinced the earth was flat and we were the center of the universe.
That prideful ignorance is because we can only look backward at the science of the past in evaluating how advanced we think we are in the present. Unlike an omniscient God, we see only a poor shadow of the future. This reality is true, not only in what scientific advances will hold, but what life beyond the grave will be as well.
Hebrews 10:1 – For since the law has but a shadow of the good things to come instead of the true form of these realities, it can never, by the same sacrifices that are continually offered every year, make perfect those who draw near.
To have nearsighted pride in scientific advancements is one thing, but to ignore life after death is another.
