A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – If at the point of salvation, Christians lost their sin nature and became like Jesus, evangelism would be much easier. Hypocrisy, at least from the Christian if not from the world, would no longer be a factor (Matthew 7:3-5). Sadly God chose not to give us that valuable tool. We have to muddle through the reality that there is both a wide and narrow path (Matthew 7:13-14) and, most importantly, recognize that only God (1 Corinthians 3:6) causes the growth in the HEART, not the head of the converted.
Joel 2:12-13 – “Yet even now,” declares the LORD, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning; and rend your hearts and not your garments.” Return to the LORD your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love; and he relents over disaster.
