Excerpt: What do we do in the meantime?
Quote Source – Jeff Hilles
A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – It is so hard to imagine what our future actions, beliefs, and thoughts will be like in Heaven while we live in a sin-cursed world with a sin-cursed nature here on Earth. How can humanity understand a life without evil, without anger, or malice, and with all our questions answered from an eternal viewpoint?
All we can do today is muddle through as best as we can, fighting our own sin nature (Romans 7:22-24) while trying to help others with theirs. And, when we pressure those around us to change by pointing out their failures, we run the risk of not only being called a hypocrite (Mathew 7:5), but also driving them further in the wrong direction. As a Biblical Christian, caring for and counseling others requires prayer, discernment, and a large portion of grace.
