Providing straightforward analysis on the intersection of contemporary issues and theology, based on a Biblical Christian Worldview.

“Great to see a Christian acknowledging that life isn’t binary.”

That LGBTQIA+ folks are accepted.

A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – Life is not binary because we live in a gray world where our sin nature, the evil one, and the Holy Spirit are in a mix that can be very complicated. As Biblical Christians, it is not always clear in specific situations…. what would Jesus do?

This reader chose to twist my words toward sexual orientation rather than the point I was making, expressed above. Knowing his underlying intent, my brief response was…

“We all have a sin nature that surfaces in unique ways. My “acceptance” of LGBTQ+ represents nothing more than an acknowledgment that we live in a gray world. It does not take away from sexual immorality being recognized as a Biblical sin, however. When other Christians reject this group of sinners, it is because they are looking through the lens of a sinless eternity and/or missing the reality of their own nature (John 8:10-12).”

The Bible is clear when it says that “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). That includes the lost and the saved. To call out one sin as something more that another is to demand our brother remove the speck of sin from his eye while we, as hypocrites, ignore the planks in our own eyes (Matthew 7:3-5).
