Everything is Held by God

Steadiness in a fragile world

With a Subtitle: Steadiness in a fragile world

A brief Excerpt: God remains steady at the center of all things, holding both the turning world and the quiet burdens of the heart.

Center of all centers, core held in the hand of God,
breath in the body settling into the moment under His care,
a hand resting on the table, tea cooling,
morning light gathering at the edge of things.

the world turns as nations rise and fall,
a phone lights briefly in the dark, then returns to stillness,
and nothing escapes Him, neither the distant star
nor the quiet ache that rises here and passes through.

held without force, the whole of it sustained,
the movement of the world continuing within His keeping,
He is, He remains, the center that does not shift when all else does.

a prayer forms without words as breath returns,
a name spoken into peace without striving,
and when light fades and what seemed certain gives way,
presence does not withdraw, God does not recede.
