Recently I wrote a brief post that concluded by defining the difference between Christian Nationalism and Christian Patriotism in which I stated …
“To abdicate [our] rights and freedom by disengaging from our collective Christian roots in order to not be labeled as a patriot is to fracture our unity, opening the door to anarchy and the loss of our nation from those who seek to destroy us (China). Forcing our Christian theology on others (nationalism) is not the same thing as operating in unity as a Christian moral force to rebuild our nation (patriotism).
I received the following response from a reader who took issue with my views on China ….
“Really … you call out other nations as enemies when they, too, are people Jesus died for. The labels and grouping of any collective not in Christ is immaterial other than the need for salvation. Your words are proud and boastful. These are not the attributes of Jesus. These types of separations lead to divisions, war, and death.”
There is no question that the ‘people’ of China are created in God’s image and, frankly, their underground and persecuted growth in Christianity represents the opposite direction currently being experienced in America’s Christianity today. Of course, my point was directed at the intentions of the government of China, not its population.
There seems to be no question that China is out to destroy democracy, and America is the strongest and greatest impediment to their objectives. Ignoring that reality by undermining those who protect us (militarily, economically, technologically, socially, and spiritually) could be part of Christian end-times ….
Fortunately, no (sane) person in our government would dispute that opinion. To hide behind the veil of ignoring the threat by focusing on the humanity of the people interned under the repressive regime (China, North Korea, Iran) and, in effect, say “I see nothing, I hear nothing,” is to ignore the reality of the geopolitical world we are faced with, and ultimately prepare for a one-world government that is in line with end-times prophesy.
Quoting from GotQuestions.org on the subject of China and end-times prophesy (link here) …
“In the end times, many nations, likely including China, will try their hand at conquest. Ultimately, their fight will be against God. The tribulation will be a tumultuous time of warfare, disasters, and divine judgment. But God has it all under control, as Psalm 2:2–6 assures …. Many students of Bible prophecy consider Revelation 16:12–16 to possibly refer to China in the end times.”
Quoting from Elon Musk on “what keeps him up at night” …
“I worry generally about the strength of America. America is the central column that holds up all of Western civilization …. If that column fails, it’s all over. You can’t run off to New Zealand or some other place. It’s over. So either we strengthen that column and make sure America is strong, and we’ll be strong for a long time, or that roof’s coming down.”
Conclusion
If America falls, so falls democracy. That will only result in even more worldwide oppression and Christian persecution, including the Chinese population. American patriotism, whether Christian or otherwise, is a force the Lord promotes until He chooses to bring on the labor pains, allowing a one-world government, one-world currency and one-world religion to replace a largely democratic world.
