A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – Many come to reject God because God has chosen to do or say (in the Bible) something they find unacceptable. The only unpardonable sin is to reject God and His Son. The easiest way to do that outwardly is to pronounce He does not exist, while remaining angry at Him on the inside. The irony is that one cannot prove a negative (God does not exist), unless they are god themselves and therefore all knowing. Mankind definitely does not fit that model of understanding of our universe.
