Are You Afraid to Start? Here’s a Message from God for You

2 Corinthians 9:8 - And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.

Have you ever thought like you were not good enough to pursue something? Maybe you’ve thought, I can’t do this. I don’t have the skills. What if I fail? If so, you are not alone. Even one of the greatest leaders in history — Moses — felt the same way. But God had a message for him and that same message for you today.

I Know You’re Excited To Receive This Message, So Let’s Go…

Open Exodus 4:10–12 and get ready for a life-changing message!

In these verses, Moses stood before God with fear in his heart. God had just called him to a great mission — to lead the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt. But Moses hesitated.

Moses said to the Lord, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.” (Exodus 4:10)

Moses thought his weaknesses disqualified him. He saw his lack of eloquence as a barrier to success. But God didn’t see it that way. So don’t judge yourself to find the reason to stop yourself. Instead, submit yourself into the Lord’s hands and let Him use you.

The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” (Exodus 4:11–12)

If God calls you, no fear can stop you, as long as you remain obedient to Him. Just like Moses, who was afraid and even asked God to send someone else. But when God didn’t grant his request, he didn’t flee — he obeyed. He became the leader who led the Israelites out of slavery.

Fear will come. It’s natural. But it cannot stop you if your mission is God’s will and you are obedient to His call.

Overcoming Fear to Fulfill God’s Purpose

Fear is natural, but it doesn’t have to control you. The key is to recognize that fear can be a tool for growth. Don’t let fear stop you; use fear to fuel your purpose and push forward in obedience to God’s call.

Remember, no one qualifies before God until He makes you qualified. When He calls you, He also equips you. You don’t need to have all the answers right away, but God will teach you what to say, show you what to do, and lead you every step of the way.

Fear may seem like a roadblock, but obedience brings breakthrough. When you choose obedience, God takes your limitations and transforms them into strengths. The breakthroughs you need are often found in the steps you take in faith, even when fear is present.

Trust that God is with you every step of the way. When you obey His call, He will lead you to victory.
