“All Biblical Christians will be Pentecostals in the End-Times”

Not necessarily their theology but their worship style.

Quote Source – Jeff Hilles

A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – I consider myself to be part of the Biblical Christian Frozen-Chosen. I am saved, love the Lord, and desire to serve Him, but am not extravagant in my worship style, nor do I have high expectations of the miraculous (sign gifts) being evident in my life. Currently, a long-time Baptist, I began my journey in an independent church followed by a few years in a Presbyterian PCA congregation.

However, I do keep a very open mind on the sign gifts (tongues, prophesying, healing, etc.) since there is strong evidence that, similar to the known world in the first century, they seem to be operating in countries where Christianity is growing dramatically.

What is interesting is that if we are approaching the End-Times, Christians prior to the Rapture and those saved beyond it, should expect a significant increase in miraculous events and behaviors more reflective of Pentecostalism.

To be clear, I am not talking about heretical theology from cults like the UPC, Onenesss Pentecostalism, or Modalism (details here), but more the outward signs of worship and expectations of miraculous events such as the Assemblies of God.

Webster defines pentecostalism as, “of, relating to, or constituting any of various Christian religious bodies that emphasize individual experiences of grace, spiritual gifts (such as glossolalia [speaking in tongues] and faith healing), expressive worship, and evangelism.”

End-Times Pentecostalism

Matthew 24:21 – For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be.

Luke 21:11 – There will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences. And there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.

Matthew 21:8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines. These are but the beginning of the birth pains.

Your theology regarding the timing of the Rapture will determine how much of the “labor pains” will be seen by living Christians on earth. However, imagine the ones who get saved after the Rapture and live through all seven years of the Tribulation. Imagine being around to see the two Jewish witnesses in Revelation 11:3-12, or, a breathing statue of the antichrist that could both speak and kill (Revelation 13:15), sores, seas and rivers turn to blood, scorching sun, darkness over the land, dried up rivers, earthquakes and hail (Revelation 15,16). No more Frozen-Chosen I suspect … and likely a great many more prayer warriors as well.
