Quick Quote – Source – Francis Chan
A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – We are called to not only be Christians in our own behaviors and beliefs but to “always be prepared to give an answer… for the hope that [we] have. (1 Peter 3:15). Evangelism is not for a group of people called evangelists. God has called each of us, in our own unique way to both share and be disciples of His truth to a lost and dying world. According to Webster, the word Chan used, “disciple” has the following top synonyms, “adherent”, “missionary”, and “follower”. The Bible makes a bold and challenging statement on the subject of disciples when it says,
John 15:8 – By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.
This is not work-based salvation. Bearing fruit as a disciple is however a sign of our willingness to overcome our fears and share the Good News we hold in our hearts.
