When You Went To Church Three Weeks Ago

A Bible app frozen on last month's church passage is a quiet indictment. Daily Scripture feeds the soul in ways fifty-two sermons a year alone never can.

Words of Wisdom from the Babylon Bee – Fellowshipping with other believers every Sunday is important, but not sufficient. We need to be fed each day.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 - All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

How can a Christian function in this world if instruction is limited to the verses and applications the pastor offers, at best, fifty-two times a year. Sunday worship is intended to be supplemental to our daily prayer and study of His love letter to us, the Bible.

There is nothing wrong with using electronic devices to engage with God in His Word. However, when your iPhone opens up to the verses you stood to read a few Sunday’s ago … reflect on how much you are missing by not having a regular quiet time every day with the One who died for your sins on the cross, and the One who will wipe away every tear from your eyes as you enter Heaven.
