Theology on the Lighter Side – How do you know God is a baseball fan? – Because the Bible starts with, “In the big inning…”

Genesis 1:1 – In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

In the beginning, God …. The Lord existed before the beginning …. How is that possible?

We have no answers to that question because we are not God. Yet we have faith. Faith that if He had the power to create the universe from nothing, we can trust Him to have prepared a place in Heaven for those who accept the greatest gift mankind has ever been given … eternal life. All we need to do is accept God’s gracious gift by asking for forgiveness of our sins and accepting His Son as our Lord and Savior ….

Romans 10:9 – If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Atheists and agnostics reject God as the Creator and instead choose to have faith that a dot (from somewhere) became the universe.

Psalm 20:7 – Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.

Each of us can choose what, or Who, to have faith in, the consequences of which will come to fruition at the end of our lives. Which do you choose?
