Providing straightforward analysis on the intersection of contemporary issues and theology, based on a Biblical Christian Worldview.

“United Methodist Church is on rocky ground.”

The church that drifts is the church that fails and disappears.

Quick Quote – Source – Jeff Hilles

A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – Many who were hiding now have to decide what side they are on. From a Christian perspective, it has exposed carnal Christians (i.e. Christians in name only) to disavow their local denominational beliefs and deconstruct their faith, like the seeds that fell on rocky soil (Matt. 13:20-21). The UMC denomination, seeing the exodus of members, has abandoned its core theology in an attempt to keep the carnal Christians. Of course, the polarization works both ways as we see traditionally conservative churches leaving the denomination, either going independent or joining the new Global Methodist denomination.

The solution to an unchanging God in the midst of a changing culture is to hold fast to your faith.

Hebrews 10:23 – Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.

James 1:17 – Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
