“You talk like Jesus magically does everything for you.”

There is a difference between magic and miracles.

A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – This was a statement made to me by a reader. My response…. There is a big difference between magic and miracles.

Magic is centered in one of two places. It is either a human illusion, or emanates from a satanic supernatural power over the natural world. In both cases, it is false and/or evil in its origin and application. Those who see it in action find the most pleasure in wondering which source it comes from.

The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, - 2 Thessalonians 2:9

Miracles, on the other hand, come from only one source, God. Webster refers to them as, “an extraordinary event manifesting divine [God’s] intervention in human affairs”.

God’s miracles are always good. Satan’s magic is always bad, even though he masquerades as an angel of light… To the quote above, Jesus did not do “magic”; He did miracles.

And God was doing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, - Acts 19:11
