Theology on the Lighter Side – Why didn’t Moses ever use social media? – Because he didn’t want to be followed!

Moses was one of the most important Old Testament figures. Yet in the famous “burning bush” encounter with God (Exodus 3 & 4), Moses tried to convince God that he was not up to the task God called him to. Moses did not want to lead his people out of bondage from Egypt. He did not “want to be followed.” But God had other plans and gave Moses the words and the power at those times when he needed it.

Often, the more humble we are, the more God can take over our battles and life challenges. Our pride, arrogance, and self-confidence need to get out of the way in order to let the Lord intervene. If we don’t do so willingly, God may force us to do His will (i.e. Jonah).
