Theology on the Lighter Side – Why did the pastor refuse to play hide-and-seek? – Because he knew everyone needed to be found!

In every Biblical Christian pastor is the desire to see their flock “be found” by experiencing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Some teaching elders close each of their sermons with an “alter call”, while others are more circumspect in their press for salvation. Most pastors pray before rising to the pulpit that the congregation will truly hear and respond to the Word of God.

When the desire, the expectation, the prayer, and the preaching lose their passion and focus from evangelism (at least in part) to the social gospel, it is time for the pastor to find other outlets in his service for the Lord.
