As Christians, we are supposed to have joy in all that we do … regardless of the difficulty, conflict, and effort.
Colossians 3:23-24 – Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
So easy to say, and quote a verse, but not so easy to do. Why … because we live in a world that can be dark and unforgiving.
There are times when our light shines brightly against the backdrop of daily life. And, there are times when we fall victim to the same temptations and defeats that draw joy out of our lives. However, if you look at the Christians around you, who are the most joyful? Are they the ones who always seem to have an easy path through life … or are they the ones who are the most dependent on God?
1 Peter 2:21 – For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.
