Theology on the Lighter Side – Who was the best financial planner in the Bible? – Pharaoh’s daughter—she went to the bank and pulled out a little prophet!
Of course the “little prophet” was Moses, who confronted Pharaoh with ten plagues, led the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt and across the Red Sea, and received the Ten Commandments at Mt. Sinai. Further, Moses is the primary author of the first five books of the Hebrew Bible.
And yet, Moses began his ministry under protest. God called him, and he initially rejected God’s commands, making a deal with God that he would go as long as Aaron, Moses’ brother, came along as his mouthpiece.
How many of us feel called by God to go and do … yet reject the offer of service out of personal fear of rejection or persecution … even when we know God is in control? What will the review of our lives be like as the recording plays back before our loving Father?
Revelation 21:4a - He will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
