Who is Gloo?

And what are the goals of this Christian AI technology company?

Gloo is a group that you likely have not yet heard of if you do not keep an eye on new movers and shakers in the Christian community. Started in 2012, with a vision to provide a connection point between Christian seekers on social media and churches, the company has transitioned into a source for faith-based internet research as their fundamental offering. In March of 2025, Pat Gelsinger, formerly the CEO of Intel, was elected as their new CEO and brought the for-profit company into the spotlight, and on November 18th of this year, they completed a 72.8 million dollar initial public offering.

In 2023, Gloo launched an “AI & Church Initiative” project, investing $25m into the development of a Christian ChatGPT model that caters to Christian leaders wishing to do research for sermon prep, theological studies, and general interest. They also provide Christian virtual assistants and messaging services (proprietary text and email applications). Their long-term goal is to offer a customized Christian ecosystem that can be further refined to specific denominational theological preferences.

The company currently serves over 140k ministry clients, promoting itself as a balance of maximizing profits while promoting the advancement of a Christian worldview.
