Excerpt: Noah’s Ark’s location is unconfirmed, but believed to be in eastern Turkey. The Ark Experience attracts both believers and skeptics.
Theology on the Lighter Side – The exact location of Noah’s ark has yet to be confirmed by peer-reviewed physical evidence. In general the “mountains of Ararat” from Genesis 8:4 represent a broad range in eastern Turkey. There is a specific mountain called Ararat, which has seen excavations going back to the 1800s. Many have claimed to see wooden beams and large structures under the ice and ground-piercing radar has suggested the possibility of a boat of the size and shape of the Ark.
It is fascinating to note that between 200 and 300 cultures have a distinct flood tradition in their history. Found in ancient records, oral traditions, island cultures, and tribal societies that have had no exposure to the Bible, these stories can be found on every continent in the world.
The Ark Experience is a worthwhile destination for believers and skeptics alike.
