- 37% — “God created human beings pretty much in their present form” (often treated as a proxy for creationism / special creation)
- 34% — Humans evolved, with God’s guidance (theistic evolution / guided evolution)
- 24% — Humans evolved, without God’s involvement (fully naturalistic evolution)
It should be of note that for more than sixty years, grade schools through graduate schools have almost exclusively presented a natural evolutionary process (without God) as the basis for the formation of life and its increasing complexity (natural selection and mutations). And yet, according to the Gallup study in 2024, 71% of respondents still believe that there is a creator God who either oversaw evolution (34%) or created mankind in His own image, fully formed (37%).

Some may say our stubborn refusal to accept science over religion is being naive. Biblical Christians would counter by respectfully saying that this is just one more piece of evidence that God is real and active in the lives of His people.
