Theology on the Lighter Side – What animal did Noah not trust? – The Cheetahs.
If you have not yet been to the Ark Encounter in Williamstown, KY, you are missing a great time for family fun and a Biblical Christian education. It offers a reasonable explanation through sanctified imagination on how Noah and his family managed to humanly deal with feeding and caring for the animals, as well as the Ark’s overall construction and layout during the flood.
Genesis offers details on the Ark, which was likely 550 feet long, almost 92 feet wide, and 55 feet high. Since studies have shown that only about 15% of the animals on the Ark were larger than a sheep (plus the possibility that infants were brought on board), it makes the idea of approximately 25k different “kinds” of animals (so 50k, plus additional “clean” animals) were on board. Scholarly feasibility studies (over 1200) have been conducted by multiple sources which overwhelmingly indicate that the Ark could accommodate the animals and food storage required for the time they were enclosed. However, given that Jesus could turn water into wine and served both the four thousand and the five thousand a meal of a few fish and loaves of bread with baskets left over, scripture suggests that God can do whatever He wishes to ensure the success of the Ark in the survival and protection of its inhabitants.
