Two Government Bills…

country at the state level.

Reported on the same day, the difference is striking.

Colorado passed a bill signed into law referred to as the “Kelly Loving Act,” which “represents a radical overreach by the state, effectively criminalizing Biblical convictions and punishing Christians for living out not only their faith but the obvious truth that men are men and women are women ….” The Governor, signing the bill, was quoted as saying, “the state now is authorized to prosecute people who ‘deadnamed’ or ‘misgender.'”

The Texas House just passed a bill requiring the Ten Commandments in classrooms across the state which, it is expected, the Governor will sign, Senate Bill 10. The law will take effect on September 1st and if unsuccessfully challenged in the court system, will require every public school classroom in Texas to display a version of the 10 Commandments.

This is just one fractional example of the battle going on in this country for the hearts and minds of mankind. It has been raging since before Adam and Eve. However, many are suggesting that it is intensifying. What is so often missed is the reality that this is not a war between Christians and non-Christians. This is a battle taking place between God and the evil one. The Bible, centuries ago, has clearly documented who the winner of that battle will ultimately be.

Ephesians 6:12 – For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
