The Bible is a Starting Point for Christian Nationalism

Even though the term is snake-bit.

From an admittedly narrow and idealistic perspective, Christian nationalism begins with the identification of Biblical moral laws (in contrast with laws that are considered ceremonial, or civil). Governmental legislation is then applied as the next layer in recognition that restitution, punishment, and prevention are necessary in a fallen world. Finally, the third layer would be the courts that lend specific clarity to the intent of the laws, filtered through the lens of the Constitution.

These are layers or rings with the Bible at the center, congressional laws as the next layer, and the courts as the outer ring. It represents a picture of Christian nationalism.

Of course, many reject this notion of a Biblical foundation because they reject God and/or the authenticity of Scripture.

However, as divisive as a small number of Biblical commands are, the vast majority of Biblical moral laws represent a code of conduct that God has put into the hearts of all mankind, regardless of race, religion, or national origin. it is that moral code that Biblical Christians see as the foundation of Christian Nationalism, regardless of the stigma attached to the term. It is also a sign of patriotism (details here).
