Providing insight on the intersection of contemporary issues and theology, based on a Biblical Christian Worldview.

The battle is between the flesh and the Spirit, your shame and your guilt.

There is a constant war going on in each of our lives.

There is a constant war going on in each of our lives.

Quick Quote – Source – Rich Holt & Jarrod Scott combined

A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – The “flesh” is our sin nature and the Spirit is the Holy Spirit, acting as the Counselor for every Biblical Christian (John 14:26-28). They are in a constant battle, each attempting to control our actions (Rom. 7:24). When our thoughts or behavior are contrary to God’s law, we feel either shame or guilt. Shame does not offer the opportunity for God to introduce grace. Guilt is a recognition of our sins and, through repentance, the ability, to have our actions forgiven.
