A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – One of the traits of science is its delusion that, at every point in development, it is both on the right track and what has already been “proven” is immutable. However, neither is the case. As man is imperfect, so is our science. It was in the 3rd century that many in science believed in a round earth, but not until the 15th century that it was widely accepted. It was only in the mid-19th century that Pasteur rejected “spontaneous generation” of maggots in rotting meat. Today, according to Gallup 40% of Americans still believe in the creation story over evolution.
Science is a construct of a curious mankind trying to understand the natural world. It takes faith to believe what we believe today will not change tomorrow just as it takes faith to believe in a supernatural God who created the universe and everything in it.
