We have reported in the past (details here) on the Satanic Grotto, a more militant version of the Satanic Temple. Their leader, Michael Steward, was arrested on Friday, March 28th at the Kansas Statehouse, by Capital Police, after allegedly punching a counter-protester who was attempting to rip a booklet from him (details here).
Mr. Steward became violent when confronted, yelling out for Satan to come to his rescue as he was handcuffed and removed.
Approximately 30 members of the Satanic Grotto “church” had been demonstrating on the steps of the Capitol building when Steward decided to enter. All this was based around their initial desire to conduct a Black Mass inside the Capital, which was barred by the Governor and subsequently relocated outside.
Ephesians 5:8 – for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light
It is important to note in these altercations that there is a spiritual war going on. It is not limited to the natural world, but is also a part of the spiritual world.
Ephesians 6:12 – For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
As Biblical Christians, we need to be a light shining in these dark places in the world. We will not win all the battles, but we are confident on Who will win the war, both on earth as well as in Heaven.
John 1:5 – The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
