Pope Challenges Jesus To Debate

On Whether All Religions Lead To God

Words of Wisdom from the Babylon Bee – For those not familiar with what has been going on within the Roman Catholic church over the last few decades, this headline from the Babylon Bee may seem absurd.

Actually, the debate has been raging for sometime between Catholic doctrine, in its drift toward universalism, and the text of the Bible.

In September of 2024, the Pope announced at the conclusion of a seminar that included a broad coalition of false religions that, “They are like different languages in order to arrive at God, but God is God for all. Since God is God for all, then we are all children of God …. There’s only one God, and each of us has a language to arrive at God. Some are Sheik, Muslim, Hindu, Christian, and they are different paths [to God].”

Of course, this statement by the ‘infallible’ Pope was controversial and caught many devout Catholics by surprise. However, all the way back to 2003, in the second edition of the Catholic Catechism #846, the following quote can be found …

“Those who, through no fault of their own, do not know the Gospel of Christ or his Church, but who nevertheless seek God with a sincere heart, and, moved by grace, try in their actions to do his will as they know it through the dictates of their conscience – those too may achieve eternal salvation.”

A deeper dive into this version of Catholic “Anonymous Christianity,” whereby one is a Catholic without knowing it on this side of the grave, can be found here.
