Providing insight on the intersection of contemporary issues and theology, based on a Biblical Christian Worldview.

“Our greatest fear should not be of failure…

...but of succeeding at things in life that don’t really matter."

…but of succeeding at things in life that don’t really matter."

Quote Source – Francis Chan

A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – It is often productive to reflect on our past successes and failures as we actively, rather than passively, make plans for the future. Often God uses our supposed failures to move us in a new and positive direction.

In 1989, I saw my small business fail, which forced my family into both corporate and personal bankruptcy. However, during the two years of turmoil leading up to that final crushing set of events, the Lord brought someone into my life because of that business (an accountant). God used him to lead both myself and my wife and ultimately our daughters to Christ. The years that followed were rough … working multiple jobs. But we had that “peace that transcends all understanding,” making the recovery relatively painless.

Consider the legacy you wish to leave this world. Is it really the acquisition of money and prestige, or is that your sinful nature pulling you away from what truly matters?

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. - Matthew 6:33
