Man Who Forgot To Pray For Friend Hides Shame…

...As Friend Thanks Him For His Prayers.

…As Friend Thanks Him For His Prayers.

Words of Wisdom from the Babylon Bee – Often the Babylon Bee offers humorous headlines that are thought provoking. However some are more poignant than others.

How many times in the Christian life have we been asked to offer intercessory prayer for the needs of a friend and failed to do so? How many times have we missed opportunities to offer prayer for an unbeliever as a way of introducing our faith, only to reject the idea, not wanting to “offend?”

Intercessory prayer, or praying for the needs of others, should be a significant part of our walk with the Lord. Jesus is the ultimate example of one who exhibits intercessory prayer….

1 Timothy 2:5 – For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:34 – Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.

And Paul was constantly asking for prayer in his ministry to the fledgling churches….

Colossians 4:2-3 – Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison.

Be open for opportunities to pray for others and, when making a commitment to do so, keep it.
