Words of Wisdom from the Babylon Bee – Man Fulfills The Great Commission: By Occasionally Wearing Novelty Christian T-Shirt In Public.

The intent of the Babylon Bee is to help us recognize the failings of mankind in a way that makes us laugh. Sometimes it is a focus on the weakness of others, but often it also reflects a need to be able to laugh at ourselves.

There are many ways to “spread the Good News of Jesus Christ” (Mark 16:15) to a lost and dying world. Some work better than others based on our unique personalities, the situations, and God’s gifting at the time of a divine appointment.

There is nothing wrong with wearing a t-shirt with a Scripture verse on it, or a similar bumper sticker, fish, or other symbols of our faith. Christian pictures on the walls of our homes and offices along with crosses and Bibles in display are to be encouraged. This as long as while displaying these monikers we are not, at the same time …

• Grieving the Holy Spirit and our testimony by our words and deeds,
• Substituting these trademarks for real conversation,
• Allowing pride, arrogance, or confrontation to be the basis for the display.
